Very hot fantasy character indeed... She deserved to be drawn by you !
If you are interested in French comic books and especially in this series, maybe you know that the sequel was not made by Loisel anymore, but by another artist nicknamed Lidwine. A great artist in my opinion, but his weakness seems to be that he's much to slow at work ; so he could'nt follow on this job.
And did you know Lidwine had made another great comic book of his own in 1994 : le Dernier loup d'Oz ? A very teasing one, both due to the quality of the artwork and the puzzling scenario. This book has become a collector then, but it's also because the story remained "to be continued" during these last 18 years...

I really love the way all the birds build depth in the picture!

Thanks you so very much! I wanted the birds to be spiraling around her but the background birds would have looked odd flying down. Still, I think they sort of coil around her :)

Definitely! They frame her without it being an obvious spiral.

Thanks! I was hesitant to do the color work on this one - something I am just getting back into after so long doing greyscale work. I love a challenge though :)

No problem. This is the first time I ever saw fan art of her. I was barely a teenager when I first read those books (only caught two of them) and she inspired a lot of my work when I was younger.

Strange, in french it's just "the quest of the time-bird" (la quête de l'oiseau du temps) and the girl is named Pélisse (no Roxana anywhere).

That is interesting, indeed. Perhaps that's just the name they gave it for the US release. Either way, it's definitely the same character.
